Waco Hotels With Amazing Pools

It’s really a shame when a Texas hotel opens without  a pool because honestly? All we want to do in the hot summer months is jump in a cold swimming pool! There are a handful of really cool hotels with pools in Waco, and I’m rounding them up for you right here. I’ll also include a few insider tidbits that you won’t find anywhere else. I hope it’s helpful!

The Best Hotels With Pools in Waco

Aloft Downtown Waco

Aloft hotel pool

If you’ve ever stayed at an Aloft Hotel, you know that they provide a boutique hotel experience with all of the amenities you’d expect at a national chain. (It is owned by Marriott, after all.) The Aloft Hotel in downtown Waco is a 4-story building that has a beautiful in-ground pool.

The entire hotel is clean and modern-feeling. The only change I can think of is that I wish that they had been able to build this pool as a rooftop pool instead of in-ground. How cool would it have been to have a 4th-story pool with a view of downtown Waco? However, the pool itself is really pretty. There are a few fireplaces outside on the pool deck, a big TV for watching the game, and lawn games like cornhole and giant jenga.

Cambria Hotel Waco University Riverfront

Cambria Hotel Pool

Cambria Hotels is very similar to the Aloft in terms of feel, style, price, and size. It’s also a 4-story hotel with a beautiful in-ground pool on the patio, modern deco, and a lobby bar/lounge area.

The main difference between the Cambria Waco and the Aloft Waco? Location! While they’re both downtown Waco hotels, the Cambria is on the north side of the Brazos river, close to the Riverwalk trail, and the Aloft is on the southern end of downtown.

Hilton Waco

Hilton hotel pool

The Hilton is one of the only 4-star hotels in Waco. It’s also a little bit older than some of the other hotels with pools, so take it all with a grain of salt. The Hilton is a really lovely hotel, though, with a beautiful pool, upscale amenities, and an onsite restaurant called Brazos Grille that serves Italian-inspired cuisine.

Date Opened: 1981, renovated in 2008

Home2Suites By Hilton Waco

Home2Suites pool

I’d call this one of the best family-friendly hotel pools in Waco. It’s not a swanky pool where you’ll want to lay out on the lounge chairs sipping margaritas with your bachelorette party…but the Home2Suites is a really phenomenal, spacious 3-star hotel that can accommodate big groups like families easily.

They have in-suite kitchens, a free hot breakfast, and connecting rooms available. Again, this is an excellent hotel for families!

Element Waco

Element Waco pool

Element Waco is an extended stay hotel, which means that most of the rooms have in-suite kitchens so you can get comfortable. They also have an in-ground pool, which isn’t fancy but it’s nice and new.

Element Waco isn’t in downtown Waco. Not a big deal, but it’s worth mentioning in case you’re looking for a hotel that’s walking distance to the Magnolia Silos or some of the most popular restaurants in Waco.

Other Hotels With Pools in Waco

Springhill Suites, Hotel Indigo, and Courtyard Waco all have outdoor pools. To be honest, these pools are all kind of dark and depressing to me…they don’t have that “FUN IN THE SUN!” feel that I want when I’m looking for a cool hotel pool.

There is DEFINITELY a need for a rooftop pool hotel in Waco. It doesn’t exist (yet), and if a hotel decides to build a really cool 4-story or 6-story building in downtown Waco with a swanky rooftop pool deck, a bar, and hotel, I’m pretty sure that there’s a demand for it.

But for now, use this map to explore the current hotels with pools in Waco, and happy swimming!
