Guide To Union Hall in Waco
There’s this awesome place in downtown Waco called Union Hall that’s essentially a giant downtown food hall. It’s a wildly impressive number of excellent restaurants (especially considering how small Waco is!), and you’re going to want to put it at the top of your Waco bucket list. I consider this place to be one of the best restaurants in Waco…but it’s way more than just one restaurant.
What Is Union Hall In Waco?
Union Hall is a food hall in downtown Waco! It’s takes up about 25% of a city block, and it contains more than a dozen restaurants, bars, and dessert spots.
Each eatery at Union Hall is its own counter service restaurant where you can order food and wait a few minutes for your name to be called. Then you’ll pick up your food and find a place to sit (either indoor or outdoor) at the food hall. Some of these restaurants are unique Waco restaurants that don't exist anywhere else, and some of them are second or third locations of pre-existing Waco restaurants.
It’s owned by a company called Unionbrands Eateries, and they own two food halls in the Waco area: Union Hall in downtown Waco, and Union Grove in nearby Woodway, TX.

Huaco Eater // A Mexican eatery that also has plenty of Tex-Mex fare

Pupusa Paradise // Pupusas are thick, hearty corn tortillas stuffed with fillings like rice, beans and chicken
Roni’s Mac Bar // Crave-worthy mac and cheese in pretty much any flavor you could think of and grilled cheese
Sam’s Bar and Watering Hole // One of two larger locations at Union Hall, Sam’s Bar is actually a full-size bar with its own separate entrance. It is, however, adjacent to Union Hall and can be accessed via the food hall.
Village Pizzeria and & Gelato Bar // This is the other full-size location at Union Hall where you can order handmade pizzas with fresh toppings as well as calzones, subs, and gelato
Wacool Tacos and Tamales // Tex-Mex tacos, tamales, burritos, bowls, fajitas, and more
Whizzbang’s // a burger staple in Waco that’s been open since 1977. This is the second location
Zuke’s Tea Bar // handcrafted tea, including milk tea, matcha, coffee drinks, and all sorts of specialty hot tea
It’s The Best Lunch Spot In Waco!
This is for SURE the place I recommend to folks who are coming to Waco for the first time and want to find a great place to eat lunch. It’s very close to Magnolia Market, so if you’re in Waco with a big group but everyone wants something different, it’s perfect for your group.
Union Hall is also a fun place to eat for Baylor students who want to meet up with friends and eat together. Everyone can order their own food at their choice of food vendor, and no one has to worry about splitting tabs.
