1. Visit Some Waco Wineries

There are a handful of Texas wineries near Waco, and spring break is the perfect time to check a few of them off your bucket list. March is probably the best patio weather in Texas, so it’s the ideal time of year to drive out to a winery, take a tour, and stop by the tasting room for a flight. 2. Lake Waco Wetlands

Lake Waco Wetlands is a gorgeous spot that’s totally FREE to visit. It’s a place that was developed when the city of Waco decided to build a dam and raise Lake Waco by 7 feet, thus harming some of the Lake’s natural critters. The wetlands provide a habitat for them, while also playing an important role in Waco’s water quality. You can learn a lot when you visit, or just stop by for some hiking and bird watching. Again, totally FREE.

4. Go On A Glow Kayak Adventure

You could do a normal kayaking trip…or you could get inside a glowing kayak that lights up the lake underneath you. 5. Camp Fimfo

If you’re ready for a full-on spring break adventure in Waco, you’ve got to book an overnight stay at Camp Fimfo! They have awesome cabins, RV hookups, and an entire property full of fun activities for the full family. They’ll have the water playground up and running for spring break, as well as a pool, mini golf, tennis, pickleball, basketball, volleyball, yard games, and more! 6. Spring At The Silos

Magnolia Market hosts an annual spring event called Spring At The Silos. The entire market will be decked out with gorgeous blooms and exciting events. The central lawn will be full of lawn games, special pop-up vendors will make an appearance, and they’ll even have live music. 7. Go Camping At A Nearby Texas State Park

A spring break camping trip is an easy, low-cost thing to do if you want to escape Waco without travelling too far. Texas has some amazing state parks that are fun to visit for camping, swimming, hiking, fishing, or just low-key hanging out with your buddies. Mother Neff State Park is the closest to Waco, but you could also check out Fort Parker State Park, Meridian State Park, or Lake Whitney State Park.
8. Baylor Bears Baseball Games
It’s spring so it’s BASEBALL SEASON! If you haven’t been to a Baylor Bears baseball game yet, you can purchase single game tickets here. Baseball just feels like spring!
9. Go Hiking in Cameron Park

Cameron Park is the crown jewel of Waco, yet there are so many local Waco residents who don’t take advantage of that. Let’s change that during spring break! It’s the perfect weather to get outside and go on a hike through this 416-acre park in the heart of Waco.
